ITS A HIKE. Not exactly a kid friendly one either. My 3 year old had trouble going down, and was carried back up.
In my opinion, you can't see the waterfall very well from where the stairs end. You have to make your way down to get the full experience.
Once you do get there though, it's amazing. The tide pools had shrimp, fish, crabs and starfish. The water felt cold towards the waterfall. There were a lot of people fishing as well.
There is a spot near the cliff where you can take a great photo of the ocean and tide pools. You can also see an old dam and the new one they built.
The parking area is not paved or marked. It is a gravelled are. There also aren't any restrooms or picnic tables, so be prepared to bring trash bags and food/water with you.
Beautiful waterfall area from the runoff above. The area can be a bit of a scramble navigating after the stairs end so make sure you have proper footwear. You can take some amazing pictures and enjoy the view. During low tide you can trek out along the water a bit more and can even take a swim out here.
Absolutely beautiful. And we only saw a few people there! Bring water shoes/boots because the rocks are sharp and slippery! It's a little sketchy but definitely manageable. Snorkeling was soo much fun to the left of the waterfall. Lots of deep swimming holes.
Amazing place to visit. Not the easiest climb down when it is wet and slippery. I suggest visiting at least once if you stay in Okinawa.
Spectacular views! Finally came here! We climbed the rock to the top and ended up on the golf course and took many pictures from different angles. This out of the way place is definitely a must see. Not many know of this cliff due to it being secluded and out in the middle of nowhere.
Fun spot to check out waterfalls and tides pools. If you're up for a walk. You can walk along the coast to another point and see a lot of tide pools in low tide.
Where dive boots or decent climbing shoes as going down is slippery and rocky. In the bottom are tide pools to go explore. Lots of different fishes and crabs.
No bathrooms. No vending machines. Parking is available along the road or in the mini dirt area before you walk down into the waterfalls.
Beautiful scenery. Great exploring area. Fall is beautiful. Somewhat difficult for little ones we had our 6 year old and he did fine but needed some help due to pointy, rough terrain, Some swimming might be involved/needed and good water, felt shoes is a great idea. Also some goggles so you can see where you are stepping since there is urchins. We had no problems occur thank goodness but might easy your mind. Fun swimming around. Very slippery at times as well
